More than 25,000 Filipinos celebrated with Go Negosyo’s “Babae: Kapuso Ka ng Bayan”, the third Go Negosyo Women Entrepreneurship Summit and Expo 2011 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. It was Go Negosyo’s way of paying tribute to inspiring Filipina entrepreneurs and of promoting entrepreneurship as a solution to the problem of poverty in the country.

Initiated by the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE), in partnership with GMA Kapuso Network and The Philippine Star, Go Negosyo’s “Babae Kapuso Ka ng Bayan” was held in celebration of the International Women’s Month.

“For the last three years, Go Negosyo has been dedicating one of our biggest annual Entrepreneurship events for women. I believe that women are the Heart of this nation, which can be seen in a family. In a home, it is the woman who is the soul," says Mr. Joey Concepcion, Founder of Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship - Go Negosyo advocacy.

In Partnership with The Philippine Star, presented by Mr. Joey Concepcion, Mr. Miguel Belmonte of Philippine Star and Atty. Felipe L. Gozon of GMA Network, a set of Go Negosyo Filipina STARpreneurs were awarded for the Large Enterprise Category which included

Dr. Victoria G. Belo, Natividad Y. Chen, Dr. Rosalinda A. Hortaleza, Dr. Genevieve Ledesma-Tan, Elizabeth H. Lee, Nelia V. Siggaoat, Zenaida R. Tantoco and Myrna T. Yao.

For the SME Category the awardees were Merle S. Alferez, Sara N. Black, Lydia P. De Roca, Mary Grace P. Dimacali, Dr. Emma B. Guerrero, Grace G. Gupana, Marlyn DL. Montano, and Teresita Ngan Tian.

The third set of the Go Negosyo Filipina STARpreneurs awardees were Ruth S. Callanta, Pacita U. Juan, Alegria S. Limjoco, and Governor Vilma Santos-Recto in the Social Enterprise/Entrepreneurship Enabler Category.

After the awarding, Governor Vilma Santos-Recto made her acceptance speech for her award and shared the secrets on her success story as a mother, social entrepreneur and a Governor in the province of Batangas.

Special Awards were also given: BPI Family Business Excellence Award to Ms. Teresita Ngan Tian, Founder and President of Lot’s A Pizza; Cream Silk Woman Empowerment Program given to Ms. Elizabeth H. Lee, COO of Universal Motors Corporation.

GMA stars and other celebrities gathered thousands of participants at the Plenary Hall during lunch break.

Furthermore, the participants and aspiring entrepreneurs learned the secret to success on having the right attitude when it comes to business from the forum entitled, “Go Negosyo Attitude: Being the Best Babae That You Can Be”, hosted by Luanne Dy and Ivan Mayrina with guest panelists, Ms. Emily Abrera, Ms. Elizabeth Lee, Ms. Corazon Dayro Ong, Ms. Marixi Prieto, Dr. Nona S. Ricafort, Ms. Esther Vibal, Ms. Rosalind Wee and Ms. Myrna Yao.

The listeners were more inspired with the second forum entitled, “Babae: Kapuso ng Pamilya at Negosyo”, hosted by Love Anover and RJ Ledesma. The guest panelists were Dr. Joy Abaquin, Ms. Viva Andrada, Ms. Grace Dimacali, Dr. Emma Guerrero, Ms. Peachy Cheng-Medina, Dr. Genevieve Ledesma-Tan, and Ms. Jolina Magdangal. The panelists shared their stories of success in their business and on raising their children with an entrepreneurial mindset.

“Babae: Kapuso ng Bayan” was another Forum that was centered on the women that are Entrepreneurs as well as Advocates in the society. With guests, Ms. Cecille Guidote Alvarez, Hon. Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte-Alimurung, Ms. Ruth Callanta, Atty. Catherine Manahan, Ms. Bai Sandra Basar, Ms. Darlene Tan Salazar, Dr. Pinky Valdez, and Former Congresswoman Ms. Cynthia Villar.

Aside from forums and short announcements, a live auction from e-Bay drew the crowd in the Plenary Hall.

The last Forum entitled, “Babae: Maganda’t Matagumpay”, focused on the success stories of beauty expert entrepreneurs with panelists, Ms. Lorna Banzon, Ms. Abby Arenas De Leon, Ms. Delby Bragais, Ms. Kristine Gabriel, and Ms. Jean Margaret Goulborn. Day 2 of the Women Entrepreneurship Summit and Expo 2011 was Kapuso Day. It started with the showing of GMA’s “Magic Palayok”, followed by a forum entitled, “Babae Summit Go Negosyo Forum” with moderator, Mr. Arnold Clavio and guest panelists, Ms. Mylene Abiva, Ms. Jennilyn Antonio, Ms. Michelle Asence, Ms. Melody Ayupan and Ms. Corazon dela Cruz.

e-Bay had another opportunity to auction an i-Pad and Digital Cameras which added excitement to the audience.

Day 3 was filled with fruitful information as the Go Negosyo’s Angelpreneurs and other speakers came to enlighten the audience with the best business tips and techniques.
